Definition
Conditional Sentences (Sentences Modal)
is a form of compound
sentences that we can use when
we want to say that something is a result or consequence that
depends on other
circumstances. In it there is a clause modality (IF CLAUSE)
and clauses result
(RESULT CLAUSE). In
the form of conditional sentences we use the
word "if (if)".
Conditional Sentences (Kalimat Pengandaian)
adalah suatu bentuk kalimat majemuk yang dapat kita gunakan ketika kita ingin
mengatakan bahwa sesuatu tersebut adalah suatu akibat atau konsekuensi yang
tergantung pada situasi lainnya. Di dalamnya terdapat klausa pengandaian (IF
CLAUSE) dan klausa akibat (RESULT CLAUSE). Pada bentuk conditional sentences
kita menggunakan kata "if (jika)".

Type 1
Conditional sentence type 1 stated conditions
may be fulfilled.
Possibility of 50%
Conditional sentence type 1 menyatakan
kondisi yang mungkin akan terpenuhi. Possibility 50 %
Formula : If + Simple Present + Simple Future
Example : If I have some money, I will travelling
around the word
Fact : I don’t have money.
I will do it If I have money.

Type 2
Conditional Sentence type 2 stated
condition contrary to the current
situation. possibility 0%
Conditional sentence type 2
menyatakan kondisi yang berlawanan dengan keadaan sekarang. Possibility 0%
Formula : If + Simple Past + Simple
Past Future
Example : If I married to Mario
Maurer, I would live in Thailand.
Fact : I don’t marry to
Mario Maurer.
3.
Type 3
Conditional sentence type 3 states the
opposite condition in the past.
Conditional sentence type 3 menyatakan
kondisi yang berlawanan dimasa lampau.
Formula : If + Past Perfect + Past
Future
Example : If the waitress had been
careful, she wouldn’t have broken many plates
Fact : The waitress wasn’t careful.
